Local businesses rally to aid healthcare in Bracebridge

So far, ten local businesses have contributed $25,000 or more towards critical technology at Bracebridge’s hospital. The South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation is gearing up for a $6.5 million campaign, called the ‘Get Better’ campaign, to update technology at the hospital. The recent ten donations have added to the significant donations of year-round and seasonal residents. The Campaign’s Chair Doug Lamb says although SMMH is well above Ontario hospital standards and averages on many fronts, it lags behind other Ontario hospitals in terms of technology.
