Muskoka fire risk dropped to moderate

BRACEBRIDGE, ON- The risk of fire in Muskoka has been officially lowered.

The official level of risk for Muskoka has been dropped down to moderate as of today, which loosens restrictions on burning activities throughout the region.

Under moderate risk levels, fires can only be set two hours before sunset, and must be totally extinguished two hours after sunrise. They must be constantly supervised, and controlled from the time of their lighting to the time they are totally extinguished.

Anyone in the woods should carry out any forest activities with caution.
