Local councillor says Huntsville's year-end budget will break even

It looks like Huntsville’s year-end budget is going to break even. That’s according to Councillor Chris Zanetti who is also chair of the corporate services committee. He says the committee originally thought they would have a surplus of just over $80-thousand.

Zanetti says they are well on track to working on a status-quo budget.

The Huntsville budget is going to take longer to approve than last year. Zanetti says last year council approved the budget by Christmas, but it won’t be the same this time around.

The council will discuss the budget at their regular meeting on December 22nd.
