HUNTSVILLE, ON- The rainbow flag will be flying high over Muskoka in the next two weeks.
Muskoka Pride marked their official launch with an event at River Mill Park in downtown Huntsville.
Performers have been playing songs for the attendees at the launch, which is running from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Firefighters from Huntsville’s fire department are on hand to cook hot dogs, and there are multiple booths set up at the launch to offer refreshments and souvenirs.
“It’s always exciting when everything launches, it’s going to be a busy next ten days,” said Shawn Forth, an organizer with Muskoka Pride.
“We’re always really excited to start putting up rainbows in Muskoka and celebrating diversity and inclusivity!”
He wished everyone a happy Pride Week.
