There will be no MS Walk in Bracebridge this year.
It’s been cancelled because of the flooding. The fundraiser was scheduled for this Sunday.
Organizer Christine Cousins calls it an extremely disappointing decision but one that had to be made considering the current conditions.
Fundraising for this year’s MS walk was very successful. The organization had set a local target of $9,000 but blew that away, raising $16,000.
Cousins is thanking everyone who donated, everyone who was planning to support the MS Walk and everyone who took part in organizing it.
There are no plans to reschedule, but rather Cousins says they’re going to try to have an informal get-together in May for participants. However, Cousins adds, the MS Walk will be back next year.
