Manna set to launch annual Envelope Campaign

The Manna Food Bank is launching its biggest fundraiser of the year.

The Envelope Campaign aims to get people in Bracebridge to contribute what they can and send pre-addressed envelopes to the Food Bank. Envelopes will be in the April 18th edition of the Bracebridge Examiner.

It has been the largest fundraiser each year for the 25-year history of the Manna Food Bank.

Charitable donation receipts are given for all financial donations, either by return mail or a donor can provide their email address.

Donations can be made online as well.  You can visit the website by clicking here.

Manna President Sam Robinson praised the community for its ongoing support through food donations but stressed there are a number of items that must be bought fresh to provide to users, requiring money.

“Staples like bread, sugar and baby formula — must be purchased, so financial donations remain equally important,” he said.

“Manna has been providing support to those who could use a hand up for over 25 years,” said Robinson. “It is a testament to the people of Bracebridge that the food bank has been able to count on the community’s support for all that time.”

Open Tuesdays and Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m., Manna is located in Bracebridge at Unit 45, 345 Ecclestone Drive. You can contact Manna at [email protected], or leave a voicemail at 705-646-0114.
