First two bowl-a-thons for Big Brothers, Big Sisters a hit

There were plenty of strikes and gutter balls at two Big Brothers, Big Sisters Muskoka fundraisers.

The Bowl for Kid’s Sake events were held Friday night and Saturday afternoon in Bracebridge. There is a third event scheduled for Tuesday at Huntsville Bowl.

“About 50 people each (day) and a dozen teams turned out for the two events,” said co-organizer and board member James Bowler. The Moose FM newsman was pleased by how it all went.

“The Fandemonium theme was a lot of fun and people really got into the spirit of the event,” he says.

Teams wore sports jerseys in various themes, with lots of pictures and laughter breaking up the bowling.

There are over fifty children in the Muskoka area waiting to be paired with an adult to gain valuable life mentorship.

There is still time to enter a team for Tuesday’s event at Huntsville Bowl – from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. For more information, you can click here.
