November is awareness month for Crohn’s and Colitis and our national organization is embarking on a new fundraising campaign. “Make it stop. For life” teaches others what it’s like to battle each disease. Dr. Brian Murat, Gastroenterologist in Muskoka has more on the treatment of each disease.

Dr. Murat says while the disease is not fatal, it needs to be treated through proper medication which can cost $30,000 a year. Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is asking that people take action today by visiting their website to donate. For more information, visit the Chron’s and Colitis Canada website.
