If you’re driving through Bala between now and Christmas you should expect to hit a delay.
Crews with Swift River Energy working at the Bala Falls dam construction site will need to periodically close Muskoka Road 169 throughout the day for controlled blasts.
The closures will be single lane at the Moon River Bridge and could last up to 30 minutes. They’ll run between 11am and 6pm, except on Sundays. The blasting work is expected to be wrapped up by December 22nd.
