Police warn drinking and e-biking is a chargeable offense

If you’re driving a motorized vehicle drunk, you will be charged.

Police are sending out the warning after laying charges in an impaired e-bike incident in Seguin Township. West Parry Sound OPP was called after getting reports of an e-bike driving off the road on Highway 612. After investigating, police charged a 48-year-old Georgian Bay Township man with impaired driving.

He will answer to his charges in Parry Sound next month. OPP officials say no matter the type of vehicle used, anyone convicted of impaired driving will face the same penalties including a fine and possible jail time.
