Your drive in Gravenhurst could be interrupted by a major bridge replacement.

The swing and fixed portions of the Hamlet Bridge at the Severn border are being replaced by Parks Canada starting next week. The construction is running until June next year, which means drivers may want to avoid using Canning Road during this time.

More details on the road closure and a detour will be made available by Parks Canada when construction starts.

The bridge replacement is not expected to impact boat traffic, with the canal remaining open until Thanksgiving.
