ETF – K-9 Unit respond to Hunstville residential break-in

Good timing coupled with a call from a homeowner reporting a break-in in Huntsville allowed the OPP’s Emergency Task Force and the K9 unit respond to the early afternoon call within minutes on Monday. Huntsville OPP Staff Sergeant and Detachment commander John-Paul Graham told Moose FM news the homeowner in the Dairy Lane area saw damage to his front door upon returning home.

He immediately called the police and by coincidence two ETF officers and the dog unit were able to deploy and search for two possible suspects.

Ultimately the search was unsuccessful, but Graham was pleased by the speed of the deployment and it is always good to get some real-life situations for staff, both human and four-legged.

While they ultimately came up empty Graham says it is important that citizens call when they see suspicious activity and police will respond quickly if they are able to.
