Protect tomorrow with a screening today. That’s the phrase tied to Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month that hopes to encourage locals to get screened for these types of cancers.

According to health officials, people who use both tobacco and alcohol are at greater risk of developing oral, head and neck cancers that are said to be twice as common among men as they are among women over the age of 50. Health officials say that whether you are showing symptoms or not, getting a proper screening helps increase chances for successful treatment.

Bracebridge Dental will be hosting a free oral, head and neck cancer screening from 9:00am to 11:30am on April 13th at 29 Ann Street.
