Deputy Mayor Rick Maloney is all set for the task.
Last month, Bracebridge Council made the decision to take advantage of the changes to municipal acts which would allow towns like Bracebridge to appoint an alternate to District Council to cover for any absences whether they planned or unplanned. Town Mayor Graydon Smith is currently on a well-deserved vacation according to Maloney, but says he feels up for the task.
According to Maloney, Mayor Smith has been helpful making sure that he has been well-briefed on issues pertaining to the district, and with the support of his colleagues, Maloney says it will make the job a little easier.
