Moose FM and Salvation Army teaming up to help local families in need

An annual Christmas tradition to help local families in need is now underway. Moose FM in Bracebridge and Huntsville are running radiothons this week, to take donations in support of local Salvation Army branches.

In Bracebridge, the radiothon ran all day Thursday and will continue until Saturday. So far, about $24,000 has been raised.

In Huntsville, the radiothon runs for 12 hours on Friday.

All of the money raised will go towards the various programs and initiatives run by the Salvation Army in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst and Huntsville. This is part of a larger initiative by Moose FM’s parent company Vista Radio, which tries to raise a million dollars for a variety of different charities across Canada in one week.

Last year, both stations collectively raised over $170,000.
