MP Clement to talk proposed tax changes at public meeting in Bracebridge

You can learn more about the proposed changes to taxes on small businesses.

Parry Sound Muskoka MP Tony Clement is holding a public meeting in Bracebridge in October. Clement says this will be an opportunity for local businesses to find out how this federal proposal will affect them.

Clement says this proposal to remove certain tax benefits for small businesses would put more financial strain on entrepreneurs in Parry Sound and Muskoka, who are already having issues with hydro costs and the possibility of having to increase staff wages.

He says they’ll be using all the public input to petition the feds against moving forward with these changes. The meeting will be held at the Quality Inn in Bracebridge on October 12th starting at 6:30pm.

Clement visited Sawdust City Brewery in Gravenhurst last week and used beer cans to break down this proposal:
