New $500,000 donation made for Muskoka Lakes Nursing Station

A new $500,000 donation has brought the total raised for the Muskoka Lakes Nursing Station to over 1 million dollars. It was made recently by Harry and Mary Ann Debes through the Harry Debes Family Foundation. Harry Debes says nurse practitioner stations are an efficient and cost effective alternative to meeting the health services needs of the rural community and that a facility is needed in the Port Carling area. There is still $900,000 to be raised to make the station a reality.
