Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament brings in almost $50K for healthcare in Huntsville

Three healthcare organizations in Huntsville are benefiting from the annual Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament. Nearly $50,0000 was raised this summer, and will go to Christine’s Place, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, and Community Living.

Mayor Scott Aitchison says Community Living was chosen to be a recipient because it helps to ensure quality of life for everyone.

Community Living received over $12,000, along with Christine’s Place. Aitchison says the pregnancy support centre was chosen to be a recipient because it supports young women at a difficult time.

Finally, Aitchison says the Huntsville Hospital Foundation was chosen to receive around $24,000, because it will help support acute care services.

Aitchison says the 116 golfers and 27 hole sponsors helped to make the donations possible.
