The Huntsville Fire Department’s Project Porchlight is being called a success by the Salvation Army. Last night, around 200 volunteers collected and sorted donations for the charity.
Head of Operations for the Salvation Army in Huntsville, Major Darren Wiseman, says all of the donations stay in our local communities.
Wiseman says the donations will go to families in need over the holidays, and throughout the entire year.
Volunteers are still needed to help sort food and move crates.
