The Gravenhurst Scotiabank has provided a leg up to the GHS Empty Bowls initiative.
On Tuesday, Empty Bowls organizer Sue Buckingham was presented with a cheque from Branch Manager Gord McNeice.
McNeice says he felt this was an important initiative to be a part of.
He says over $3,000 was raised and also matched dollar-for-dollar by Scotiabank.
Empty Bowls raises funds for programs in Gravenhurst like the Supper Club and the Salvation Army Food Bank.
Organizers with Empty Bowls haven’t released the final amount raised just yet.
