Lake of Bays makes some decisions on the Norway Point Docks

Lake of Bays town council is making some decisions when it comes to the Norway Point Docks. The town is going to tear out the east docks, but not in 2017. However, Mayor Bob Young says some work will still be happening next year, as the west docks are going to fixed up. He says that will include a boat ramp, with three to four boat slips. Then, in 2018, the east docks will be removed.

Young says this has been an ongoing issue for council, as some residents believe the township shouldn’t be in the docking business. But, he says there is no other marina close by, and some of the Bigwin Island boaters have nowhere to park their boats on the mainland.
