The District of Muskoka has begun work on rehabilitating the North and South Moon River bridges.
On Friday, workers installed temporary traffic lights that will help keep traffic flowing safely as both bridges are cut down to one lane.
District officials are reminding residents the bridges will be reopened temporarily during Thanksgiving weekend and the Bala Cranberry Festival to cut down on traffic congestion.
This bridge rehabilitation work is expected to enhance transportation system reliability.
