YWCA Muskoka has been shortlisted for the ‘With and For Girls Award’.
YWCA was nominated for the award in May, which recognizes locally-led, girl-centred organizations that make less than $500,000 a year USD.
Twenty organizations from across the world will receive the award, along with a cash grant.
There are currently 44 organizations from 34 different countries that have made the short list.

Recently, the organization was forced to make a difficult decision by scaling back the Girlz Unplugged program.
This is due to the funding from the Canadian Women’s Foundation coming to a closer.
The organization has been searching for a new grant to revitalize this program.
