EQAO scores are on the decline across the Trillium Lakelands District School Board.
Ten per cent fewer grade six students met the provincial standards in math that brings this to just under 40 per cent.
Sixty per cent of grade three students met the provincial standards in writing, which is a 10 per cent drop.
The results also show a nine per cent decrease of grade three students who met the standards of math.
Superintendent of Learning Andrea Gillespie says, although these aren’t the result they expected, they are confident they can turn things around.
Gillespie says school and system leaders are reviewing all of the data to determine the next steps.
