Three waterpower generation companies in Haliburton County have been purchased by Bracebridge Generation.
Drag River Water Power Cooperation, Irondale River Water Power Cooperation, and Elliot Falls Power Corporation have been acquired.
Chief Executive Officer of Lakeland Holding Chris Litschko says this is part of a long-term strategic plan to grow their green energy generation portfolio.
Litschko says the Elliot Falls purchase provides them with the ability to upgrade the facility in the future to produce more green power.
In 2017, Bracebridge Generation will have invested $50 million since 2005.
