Local friends work together to help provide school supplies to families in need

Two local women have come up with a way to help out families in need and pay it forward.
Brooklynn Cole and Emily Wood have put together an auction page of Facebook to rasie funds for a very special project.
The two are hoping to fill as many backpacks as they can with school supplies to help local families that may not be able to afford new school supplies for their kids.
Cole recently went through a tragedy where she lost a child and she says she wants to repay the kindness and sensitivity of the doctors and nurses at South Muskoka Hospital by running this initiative.
The online auction runs until August 26th and all proceeds raised will go towards purchasing the backpacks and school supplies.
Any parents in need of some assistance in school supplies are invited to attend the Bracebridge Legion on September 1st in the morning to pick up your backpack.
Check out the Facebook auction here.
