Police say a Scarborough man has been charged after leaving a dog in a hot car.

Huntsville OPP says on Sunday afternoon a dog was seen in distress inside of a car on Main Street East. Police were able to get inside the vehicle and rescue the dog. The 27-year-old owner was charged with causing injury to an animal.
