The Town of Gravenhurst is moving forward with the development of plan to manage its infrastructure assets.
On Tuesday, council met for a special meeting to approve awarding the contract of developing the Asset Management and Long Term Sustainability Plan to R.J. Burnside and Associates Ltd.
The contractor will also be completing a road and bridge inspection at total cost of just over $116,000.
A CCTV inspection of the storm sewers in Gravenhurst needs to be undertaken as well, however staff will be looking for more affordable options to keep the entire project under budget.
This process would involve flushing the sewage pipes and then sending a camera through the pipes to search for damages.
Staff will present options for the storm sewer inspections during the next council meeting.
