Muskoka mother still concerned over teenage daughter’s safety

The mother of a missing teenage girl is still worried for her daughter’s safety.

Despite receiving a Facebook message, Tammy Beland is questioning whether or not it was her daughter Dailynn Rockburn that sent that message.

Rockburn went missing on Tuesday evening with her boyfriend, 14-year-old Curtis Cooney, after they left a home on Stephenson Road 1 in Huntsville.

But, recently Rockburn’s Facebook page had a post telling friends and family she was fine and not to look for her.

Beland also received a private message from her daughter’s Facebook account with a similar message.

She says while this seems like it was from her daughter, she isn’t counting on Dailynn being safe until she is physically back home.

Beland says she was prompted to contact police after she became scared when her daughter failed to get in touch with her that evening.

Police are still looking for both teens, and are asking anyone with information to contact your local OPP or Crime Stoppers.
