There are four local events receiving funding from the province.
Yesterday afternoon, the province announced $15.3 million is going to 200 events and festivals to draw tourists, stimulate local economies and create jobs. In Huntsville, the Girlfriends’ Getaway Weekend will receive just over $30,000, the Band on the Run will get close to $15,000 and the Huntsville Festival of the Arts will be given $76,000.
In the Township of Muskoka Lakes, the province will be funding just over $34,000 to the Muskoka Chautauqua Festivals.
