Another messy wintry mix is on the way for Parry Sound, Muskoka and Haliburton today.

Snowfall is expected to begin this afternoon in Muskoka and spread to the rest of the regions.

Meteorologists with Environment Canada are calling for about five centimeters of snow to fall by this evening.

Then, as the warmer temperatures move in, the snow will switch over to rain.

The weather service is warning we could see ice pellets or freezing rain during this transition tonight.

This could cause dangerous driving conditions in these areas, even after the storm switches over to regular rain.
