Local Lacrosse Player Honoured to Play for the Toronto Rock

Colin Boucher feels honoured to play for the Toronto Rock.

Last week, the 28-year-old defender was signed by the professional lacrosse team and was added right to the active roster. Boucher helped lead his team to a 13-11 victory over Vancouver last weekend. He says he’s always been a fan of the Rock and says the signing has a hometown feel to it.

The Huntsville native said he was very hopeful to get the call because the team was looking for players.

Boucher said he was nervous going through his body in his Rock debut because he hasn’t played for at least a year in the professional league.

He will play his first game in Toronto this Saturday against New England.
