The bad weather has caused a number of school closures across the region.
All schools under the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board are asking parents to pick up their kids.
Each school will close for the day as the last child is picked up.
Georgian College has closed its Barrie and Orillia campuses and the Muskoka and Georgian Bay campuses will be closed by 3:00pm today.

Environment Canada warns heavy blowing snow could change to freezing rain later this evening and then back to snow for Thursday.
The weather service estimates about 15-20 centimeters could be falling.
