MNR believes bear found outside Bracebridge was not killed illegally
The Ministry of Natural Resources confirms they do not believe that remains of a dead bear found outside Bracebridge are the cause of illegal actions.
Jolanta Kowalski with the ministry says that officials checked the remains and could not find shell casings or bullet holes in what was left behind.
She did say however the bear carass was missing and the remains were left in a strange position.
The bear was reported to the Ministry through an anonymous source who had sent a photo to officials of the remains left on Monsell Road.
