Town grants gift of warmth to community hall in Oakley

The Oakley Village Square in Vankoughnet is set to see improvements’ to its heating system, thanks to Town council. The square is located on Vankoughnet Road and is used as a community hall for events. Council recently approved spending over $46,000 to buy the square a new furnace. Oakley Ward councillor Barb McMurray is happy, as she says it will reduce heating costs at the building and improve air quality.  She says the new furnace will likely be installed sometime in May.
