Miller asking questions about Ornge’s refusal to land
Our MPP has asked the Minster of Health why Ornge is refusing to land at helipads in the Parry Sound districts.
Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller stood up in the Legislature yesterday and questioned the level of service delivered by Ornge Air Ambulance in Parry Sound District and throughout Northern Ontario.
Miller referenced the incidence in Whitestone Township last year where a 16-year-old girl was injured in an ATV collision just seven minutes from the helipad and Ornge refused to land.
The Minister said he is aware of the concerns and is looking into the situation, but Miller says the uncertainty caused by the current situation is unacceptable and we cannot wait for a tragedy to move on this.
