Deputy Mayor says new LED streetlights will save Bracebridge money

A sweeping change to Bracebridge’s lighting system has been given the go ahead by councillors. Lakeland energy proposes to replace 975 Bracebridge streetlights with LED technology which will provide the municipality huge savings. More from Deputy Mayor rick Maloney on the savings…

The project will cost $600,000 and $100,000 of it would be covered by an energy rebate. The work would be done this year. It still has to be approved by council next week.
