The owners of Four Seasons Greens are excited to get their Aquaponics project started. Yesterday, Steve Bacon and his wife received a $30,000 FedNor funding loan to create a prototype of this food production system. Bacon says it can be done at a green house or your home.
Bacon says the water then goes back to the fish at 98 per cent pure before starting the cycle again. He says some research suggests it’s a better system than traditional farming in our area.
If this prototype is successful, Bacon say he hopes to get other models to market, which will benefit everyone.
