A Muskoka-based producer of sprouts and micro-greens is getting $30,000 from FedNor. It was announced earlier today Four Seasons Greens is getting this repayable contribution to complete construction of an aquaponics food producing system, with a goal to bring various models to market in future. Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement made the announcement and says the funding will help find solutions to some of the food sourcing challenges facing many isolated and remote communities. Aquaponics combines raising aquatic animals and growing plants in water.
