Bracebridge business owner says downtown delivery truck rules are unfair

A Bracebridge business owner is taking issue with delivery and parking issues in the downtown. The Town recently reminded owners in the BIA about rules covering deliveries along Manitoba Street. Vehicles can’t be parked 15cm away from the curb, and over-sized commercial vehicles can’t park or stop on the street between 10am and 4pm Monday to Saturday. Large transports aren’t allowed to park anywhere on roads in the downtown area during the same timeframe.

Steve McLellan, owner of the Muskoka Bean Café says deliveries happen too infrequently to warrant these rules….

As in years past, Bylaw officers will be issuing tickets to any vehicle found parked or stopped in violation of these by-laws
