GRAVENHURST, ON-The Town of Gravenhurst has closed off Peninsula Road effective immediately due to the storm that hit the region last night.
Closed at civic address 458, the Town said the area experienced a washout as the heavy rainfall caused a large cross culvert to become overwhelmed and fail, leading to a flooding situation.
During this closure, emergency services will not have access beyond 458 as the road is currently impassable.
Emergency crews will be on the scene today, and more updates will be provided.
