District Providing Road Closure Updates On King William Street

More updates are being provided regarding construction along King William Street.

On Tuesday, the District of Muskoka announced updates on road closures as work on the project continues.

From June 24 – July 10, starting at 7 a.m.–7 p.m., King William will be closed to through traffic from Cliff Avenue to the McDonald’s drive-thru exit, although access will remain available to driveways.

Local traffic will only be available on King William between Scott Street and McDonald’s.

Westbound traffic will be detoured on Scott Street, Meadow Park, Cliff Avenue and back onto King William.

Meanwhile, flaggers will be set up to assist with large vehicles to navigate the corners on the backroads.

Eastbound traffic will continue to use the provided detour via Hanes Street, Morris Avenue, Cliff Avenue, Meadow Park Drive, Scott Street and back onto King William.

The intersection of Chaffey Street, Fairy and King William will be reopened to traffic and Cann Street will be open to westbound traffic.

From 7 p.m.-7 a.m., westbound traffic will be redirected through the construction zone on King William between Scott Street and Cliff Avenue.

Eastbound traffic will continue to use the provided detour via Hanes Street, Morris Avenue, Cliff Avenue, Meadow Park Drive, Scott Street and back onto King William.

Again, the intersection of Chaffey Street, Fairy and King William will be reopened to traffic and Cann Street will be open to westbound traffic during the overnight period.
