A pair of well known Bracebridge residents have passed away. Wes Finch of Wes Finch and Sons Excavating Ltd. died at the age of 83 on Christmas Eve. Finch began heading the company after his father Walter passed in 1967 and was a well known and respected businessman.
As well, longtime Bracebridge Legion Branch 161 member Al Bacon has passed away at the age of 85. Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement paid tribute to the well decorated and highly regarded war veteran on Twitter, saying Bacon was “a Canadian patriot and a Muskoka legend.”
