The deadline to support HopeTotes is quickly approaching. The campaign is spearheaded by Heather McGuigan and the Cast of Swing, to support the Gravenhurst Women’s Centre.
The non-for-profit provides gift bags to women in need across Canada. They are filled with things like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and feminine products. The charity says an average of 3,300 women stay in emergency shelters across Canada because of violent and abusive situations, and providing essential products helps the recovery process.
Muskokans can help get the bags into the hands of women locally by donating at the Gravenhurst Box Office. It’s accepting product donations or cash. The deadline is Thursday, or you can go to the HopeTotes website:
