An MMA fighter from Huntsville is catching a flight to Romania today to step back into the ring. Kyle Nelson hasn’t had a match since October, and says he is looking forward to getting back to it.
He says this fight came up with short notice, but he has been sticking to a training routine and is ready to go.
Nelson calls his style of fighting an aggressive one.
Nelson has been training in Mixed Martial Arts for around 11 years, and has made a career out of it for the last five years. He says it’s not the easiest way to make a living, making small amounts off of fights and mainly relying on sponsorships.
Nelson lives in Huntsville, and trains in Bracebridge and Hamilton. His match in Romania is on Tuesday, and he’ll be matched up against a fighter from Hungary.
