District of Muskoka putting some cash into making the community a better place to live

The District of Muskoka is paying it forward for the sixth year in a row. Anyone with an idea of how to make the area a better place to live can apply for up to $2,5000 to put the plan into action.

For example, the District handed out $1,300 dollars to Community Living Huntsville to create an inclusive art program last year. The Meals on Wheels program in Bala received $1,250. In total, over $34,000 was invested into projects that create positive change.

Applications for this year are being accepted until April 14th. Go to the Pay it Forward website for all of the application details.
