Plan to avoid the Dorset Bridge beginning next month. The bridge, which is on Muskoka Road 39 just north of Muskoka Road 117, will be closed from the beginning of April until the end of June. There will be a detour available, with signs along the road. The bridge is partly in Lake of Bays and partly in Haliburton.
It’s a rehabilitation project, which means it will look the same when it’s done but will be reinforced. The repairs are costing $635,000, and will be split up between Haliburton and the District of Muskoka.
