A weather system that is being tracked by Environment Canada could bring upwards of 10 centimeters of snow or more to the Muskoka region.
Officials say on Thursday, the storm may move closer to the lower Great Lakes, which means we’ll be seeing a hefty amount of snowfall over the day.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says if the storm moves even further south, that could lighten the load.
Coulson says the temperature is expected to be around two degrees, which means we may just see more of a wet snowfall.
He says most of the snow should melt as it hits the ground before we start to see any major accumulation.
Coulson adds the temperature will be back up to seasonal temperatures on Friday, which will melt any snow that sticks around.
