Muskoka man charged in recent power outage

A Muskoka man has been charged in relation to a recent power outage that left nearly 400 people north of Bracebridge without power.
Just before 5:00pm on Tuesday afternoon, Bracebridge OPP were called to the scene of the collision on Windermere Road.
The vehicle had struck a hydro pole and the power lines were knocked down.
Hydro One was forced to knock out power to the region while damages were repaired.
The driver only received minor injuries and was charged with careless driving in the incident.
Many residents were without power for about five hours.
