An open letter has been sent to the Muskoka Algonquin Heathcare board. The letter has been signed by many healthcare professionals in Huntsville and is a last push to convince the board to keep two acute care sites in Muskoka.
A steering committee will present their recommendation on the future of local healthcare, which could include closing surgical services at Huntsville Hospital. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 14.
